Sam Lebowitz broadcasting in Chatham, Massachusetts with broadcast partner Carlo Jimenez

About Me

I’m Sam Lebowitz! I'm a sports broadcaster, studio host, and media relations professional. In 2023, I was the broadcast and media relations assistant with the Erie SeaWolves, the Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. With the SeaWolves, my responsibilities included play-by-play, pre- and post-game coverage, creating daily game notes, traveling on the road with the team, and much more. I was behind the microphone for 126 total games in my first season in Minor League Baseball.

From Erie to Central New York to Massachusetts, broadcasting has taken me on a winding path in my young career. I graduated from Syracuse University in 2022 summa cum laude with a degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism and a minor in Sport Management.

Before my first taste of affiliated baseball with Erie, I spent a summer in the Cape Cod Baseball League in 2022 as the play-by-play voice of the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. I also broadcasted summer collegiate baseball in 2021 with the Syracuse Salt Cats of the New York Collegiate Baseball League. I’ve also published writing about professional baseball - Major and Minor League - since I was 17.

Outside of baseball, I utilized my four years in Syracuse to amass as much on-air experience as possible. I was an active member of SU’s CitrusTV, the largest solely student-run TV station in the nation. I worked in sports as a reporter, analyst, and studio host. I anchored both live news shows and entertainment news shows. I also dipped a toe into producing and other behind-the-camera work. I used CitrusTV as a place to become the most versatile broadcaster I could be.

On this site, you’ll find play-by-play samples, as well as hosting, anchoring, and writing samples. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time at samlebo@me.com.
